Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellation Policy

1.1 Cancellation by Customer (Vehicle Bookings)

  • 72 Hours or More Notice: Cancellation made 72 hours or more before the scheduled pick-up time will receive an 80% refund of the advance payment.
  • 48 to 72 Hours Notice: Cancellation made between 48 to 72 hours before the scheduled pick-up time will receive a 50% refund of the advance payment.
  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the pick-up time are Non-Refundable (100% of advance is retained).
  • No-Show: If the customer does not arrive within 60 minutes of the scheduled time without prior notice, it will be treated as a No-Show and is Non-Refundable.

1.2 Cancellation by Rest On Wheels (Vehicle Bookings)

In the rare event that we must cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., vehicle breakdown, driver emergency, or extreme weather), we will notify you immediately. You will be offered:
  • An option to reschedule at no extra cost.
  • A Full Refund of the advance payment.

1.3 Accommodation & Hotel Bookings

  • Please note that Rest On Wheels acts as a facilitator for hotel and stay bookings.
  • Refunds for accommodation are strictly governed by the specific cancellation policy of the hotel or property booked.
  • Advance payments for rooms will be refunded only if the Hotel's policy permits.
  • Processing fees or service charges may apply to hotel cancellations.

2. Refund Policy

2.1 Eligible Refunds

Refunds are calculated based on the timing of the cancellation request as per the percentages listed in Section 1.1. Please note that online transaction fees/gateway charges are non-refundable.

2.2 Non-Eligible Refunds

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up.
  • No-Shows (failure to arrive at pickup location).
  • Partial usage of a package where the customer decides to end the trip early.
  • Third-Party Fees like Jeep safari or entry tickets are non-refundable.

2.3 Refund Process

To request a refund, please contact us within 2 days of the cancellation.
  • Approved refunds are processed within 4-5 business days.
  • The amount will be credited back to the original payment method used during booking.

3. Modifications to Booking

3.1 Changing Details

  • Changes to time or location can be made free of charge up to 48 hours before pick-up, subject to vehicle availability and distance.
  • Modifications requested within 48 hours may incur a small administrative fee or price adjustment based on current availability.

3.2 Extending the Ride

If you wish to extend the journey, change the route, or if delays occur due to roadblocks/customer preference, additional charges will apply based on extra distance and time. This balance must be settled directly with the company or driver at the end of the journey.
